Dr. Maria Francesca Aiello was born in Genoa in 1983. She graduated in Medicine and Surgery and specialized in Child Neuropsychiatry at the University of Genoa in 2014.
Since 2015 she has collaborated in Genoa with several accredited teams for the diagnosis and certification of Specific Learning Disorders. Dr. Aiello worked, as a facility doctor at affiliated centers for the (re)qualification of minors, on the elaboration, coordination and verification of Individual Rehabilitation Projects (Dosso Verde Institute of Pavia, David Chiossone Institute and Genoa Cooperative integration to ANFFAS brand).
She currently holds the role of Health Manager at ANFFAS Villa Gimelli Rapallo ONLUS.
Winner in 2017 of Research Grant (G. Gaslini Institute, U.O. Child Neuropsychiatry) as part of the project “IDEA” (oriented to the study of Autism Spectrum Disorders) and then at hospital Unit of Pediatric Neurology and Muscle Diseases as part of the evaluation of patients suffering from epilepsy, She is currently carrying out a PhD at the University of Genoa on the Genetic Study of Rare Epilepsies. She has gained experience in the field of neurological and psychiatric disorders of childhood, with particular in-depth study of neurodevelopment disorders, cognitive disabilities, speech disorders, learning disorders, autism spectrum disorders, behavioral disorders, ADHD, epilepsies and headaches.
